Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Robert is a board certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, serving children to adults of Southern California. He graduated summa cum laude from Vanguard University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. When he developed his passion for nursing, he pursued this field and received all honors from the following programs: Santa Ana College with an Associate degree in Nursing, Western Governors University with Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees, both in Nursing, and lastly National University with a Post-Graduate PMHNP Certificate program.

Due to Robert’s extensive academic journey, he values giving back to his community by shaping new generations of nursing colleagues. He enjoys his role as a Psychiatric Nursing Educator for various higher-learning organizations, including Western University of Health Sciences, Cypress College, and his alma mater Santa Ana College. He finds great passion in educating & mentoring future healthcare professionals to end the stigma within this ever-changing mental health community.

In addition to the outpatient setting, Robert continues to fuel his passion in providing crisis interventions in an inpatient hospitalization setting as a Psychiatric Consultant Liaison at Providence Mission Hospital Laguna Beach. He has a wealth of experience in advocating for individuals who face adversity in his past role as a Psychiatric Charge Nurse for multiple hospitals in Orange County.

Robert’s central focus is to provide humanistic, client-centered care by exploring one’s past medical & mental health history, educating various combinations of treatment interventions, and empowering client’s self-determination throughout the duration of their outpatient treatment. He hopes to provide a safe & caring environment where clients can feel heard and to assist their journey of reintegrating mental health & wellness back into their daily lifestyle.
