Adam Post, JD, LCSW

Clinical Social Worker

Adam is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and psychotherapist who joined Laguna Family Health Center in 2023. A Southern California native and he enjoys living in Orange County with his Family. Adam obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego, his Juris Doctorate from UC Davis and then his Masters of Social Work from University of Southern California (USC).

His prior career as an accomplished attorney gives him unique insights into human behavior that he uses to form his therapeutic style, one that is firmly based in a collaborative, strengths-based approach catered to clients’ goals. As a therapist, Adam has provided care to clients at all levels of treatment including inpatient psychiatric care, residential treatment, outpatient programs and private practice.

Adam empowers his clients by forming a strong therapeutic alliance and foundation from which to address issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss. He has a passion for helping those with traumatic grief, including survivors of suicide loss and attempts. Adam incorporates elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Logotherapy, Narrative Therapy and Positive Psychology into his therapy sessions. Adam provides clients with a compassionate, unconditional positive regard as they work together to find meaning in identifying challenges and solutions to achieve greater satisfaction with life.
